Leave a message after the beep for BBC’s Democracy Day.
In honour of the 800th anniversary in 2015 of the sealing of the Magna Carta, the BBC is hosting a day of live events, discussion and debate, across TV, Radio and Online, about the past and future of democracy. #BBCDemocracyDay
We’re borrowing an idea from washingtonpost and thisyearilearned - sharing your stories on voicemail.
How?
Call +1 (805) 994-0222. This is an American number, so international calling fees apply if you’re not in the US – it should also work with Skype and other internet calling services
Leave a voicemail and finish this sentence – “My democracy is…”. Tell us when you feel most engaged in your country’s government, what’s compelling (or not) about democracy, what you’d like to change in your own country, or anything else about democracy you want to share. Be sure to tell us your first name and your country.
We’ll share a selection of your voicemails here on the Tumblr and potentially later on the website and radio.
